Open Saturdays only from 9am-5pm
July Hours (through summer):
Open six days a week - Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm
Along with the Grill, the James Ranch Market, will also have a new home in our new building (opening in early summer 2019). We will continue to offer all the best of local and regional, regenerative, food products and items.
It's Worth The Trip!
The James Ranch Market is like no other market in Southwest Colorado - specializing in the fresh products grown and produced directly on the James Ranch, as well as supporting other local farmers and producers.
We prioritize stocking James Ranch products: raw milk cheeses, grass-fed and finished beef, pastured pork, pastured eggs, vegetables and flowers, homemade jellies/jams and ice cream, yet we also source many other local, seasonal products from the region’s organic farmers, such as pastured chicken, grass-fed lamb, skin care products, and a variety of veggies. You can trust all products sold in the James Ranch Market are produced organically, ethically, are fresh, highly nutritious, never shipped long distances and priced fairly.
When shopping at the market, not only will you go home with the best groceries available, our sales representatives (often family members) are experts on knowing the story of the James Ranch and eager to share information and answer your questions. Don’t miss the large glass window inside the market that looks into the cheese making room itself. You will be able to watch the process from start to finish and speak directly to Dan James, the cheese maker. In addition, the James Ranch Self-guided Tour booklet can be found in the market. The walking tour takes 15 to 20 minutes and leads you around the green terraces, up to the milking parlor, past the market chicken coop, to the baby goats, next to the market garden; all the while educating you about the ways in which the families of the James Ranch manage and steward their land and animals.
We look forward to seeing you!
We're easy to find. Just take Highway 550 north about 11 miles and take the second right after Honeyville at the James Ranch entrance.
